Various Artists – Rowle 001

New born label, ROWLE is ready to take you on a deep spacey trip around the universe. New life forms, new experiences and of course a new sound, as if intercepted from distant planets.

Already supported and played by: Raresh, Archie Hamilton, John Dimas, Dan Andrei, Shonky, Petre Inspirescu, East End Dubs, Rich NxT and Seb Zito.

On the A side, first track up we find the well known Jack Wickham with ‘Aiol’, a dance floor meandering piece with a funky rolling drum stem as the underlay, add in some funky bass, tight programming & acid sounds inside and you have a strong opener from this fledgling label.

A2, the Canadian talent Paolo Rocco presents us with ‘Vieux Velo’, a more house type of affair with elements of tech on the percussion side of things.

On the flip side aka the B side starts with a more experimental track from the ‘hardworking’ V.I.C.A.R.I. where the bass fluctuates so quickly that it causes you head to move of its own accord, add in some muted percussion a touch of some light pads and you get a Melodious journey perfectly blended together.

Final track on this Four track ep is Cipher by English mastermind, Bobby O’Donnell. Bobby has outdone himself and made a superb deep hypnotic emotionally charged Tech House track that you can’t overlook.

4 out of  5 Stars

A1: Jack Wickham – Aiol
A2: Paolo Rocco – Vieux Velo
B1: V.i.c.a.r.i – Kah Styi
